When I turned 20, I was in college. I finished studying mathematics with a minor in German at Colorado College and graduated with a bachelor's degree. I moved on to Kansas State University and graduated with a master's at the age of 24. Afterward, I went to Paris on a mission. I returned to the US and worked for a bit. Then I took the course in Prague and got a job in Munich. I met my husband, got married and moved to Düsseldorf. I worked as a teacher and now as an IT consultant. That's kind of a lot for ten years.
Als ich 20 geworden bin, war ich am College. Ich habe Mathematik mit Nebenfach Deutsch am Colorado College studiert und habe mein Bachelors abgeschlossen. Ich bin an Kansas State University weiter gegangen und habe mein Masters im Alter von 24 absolviert. Danach bin ich nach Paris auf Mission gegangen. Ich bin nach den USA zurückgekehrt und habe ein bisschen gearbeitet. Dann habe ich einen Kurs in Prag gemacht und einen Job in München bekommen. Ich habe meinen Mann kennengelernt, habe geheiratet und bin nach Düsseldorf gezogen. Ich habe als Lehrerin gearbeitet und jetzt als IT-Berater. Das ist ein bisschen viel für zehn Jahren.
Now that I'm standing at the beginning of my next decade, I'm happy to say that I fully expect another great ten years, if perhaps a little calmer. I'm happy to be moving on. I'm ready for life to go on.
Jetzt, dass ich vor noch einem Jahrzehnt stehe, bin ich froh zu sagen, dass ich noch zehn grossartigen Jahren erwarte, wenn vielleicht ein bisschen ruhiger. Ich bin froh weiter zu gehen. Ich bin bereit, dass das Leben weiter geht.
